For those of you who live near the intersection of Interstate 85 and George W. Liles Parkway you are aware of the growing retail market in that area! It seems like every month something new opens in one of the Afton Shopping Centers.
I am a big fan of the Afton Village Shopping Center near the West Cabarrus YMCA. Everytime I eat at one of the restaurants in there (Wine Room, ENoodles, Afton Tavern, etc.) I am always impressed with the service and the small town feel. Between wine tastings and live music you will find something to do every weekend.
Every so often the Afton neighborhood hosts what is called, “Party on the Plaza." Not only is there a great band playing, they also set up an outdoor dance floor! What a great way to mix and mingle with people who live in the area. The next Party is going to be this Friday, November 18th starting at 6:30 PM. I am blessed to be married to my husband Todd and we have two beautiful children, Hayden who is in Collge and John Robert who is in 5th grade. We have a rescued dog named Riccardo that we love!
